7MGE mk2 supra

my recent 7MGE engine rebuild installed in my 1984 toyota celica supra.

1987 toyota supra engine. 3.0L DOHC inline 6, iron block.

Rebuilt using:
- stock pistons (cleaned)
- king precision bearings
- polished crank
- NPR piston rings
- shaved head and decked block for 10.3:1 compression.
- Ishino-Johnson crank scraper
- ported and polished head
- port matched intake manifold, y-pipe and TB
- 3 angle valve job
- doug thorley headers
- hand-made PTFE intake manifold insulator
- 2.5" mandrel bent stainless brullen exhaust
- K&N intake, removed silencer
- Deleted TB and ISCV coolant lines, EGR removed.
- JDM ecu
- TRD catch can

Using stock mk2 w58 and new clutch. 91 cressida oil pan and pump. cressida powersteering reservoir. 94 nissan pickup truck throttle cable. JDM ecu.

Seriously, anybody who can get that W58 out with the engine is a GOD. I tried to last weekend and it just wasn't happening. So I popped the tranny off and yanked the motor out! We'll see how much of a PITA it is tomorrow when I put the 7M into where the 5M once sat.

@MasterSpaz It's tight, but can be done.you need an engine leveller. try and get the back of the car as high as you can. put thefront of the car on the ground, no stands.

@tireshredder,,did you have any major changes to do?? I have a complete 7mge engine wiring harness and computer,,want to put in my 87 cressida that has a 5mge. Any suggestions??

I have an 85 supra, an 87 cressida, and an 89 supra. I looking for any info on swapping 5mge to 7mge in the 87 cressida,,anyone??

That sounds awesome. If I wad to get that exhaust put on by a local shop could they find this same muffler? What make is it... Is it easy to order?

Hot Damn! I love this model, theyre so hard to find these days. At leasat I have mine, 1986.5 MK3 Supra with 7M-GE/W58 tranny. I am waiting for 2JZ-GE swap with R154 tranny. I can't wait! I hope to get it up to 400-500hp. Any suggestion will be nice: Should I get brand new TEMS suspension system since it can do a couple level of rideness?

@TireShredder With a leveler no problem, or just change your chain length and wiggle it, push down on the tranny in the rear while someone else jacks up, and out she comes!
