How to record video games with a DVD recorder

Update: Post vids that you recorded as responses if you use it, I'm interested to see if all the vids are like mine.

How I record my games. There is a slight delay when recording this way, and it's in low definition. Any questions? message me. Want to see the quality? Watch some of my CoD 4 or SSBB vids on my channel.

You need:
A DVD RECORDER
DVD-R's to record onto
A computer with a DVD ROM (or drive)
A gaming system
1 A/V cable

Do you need a tuner to do this? I saw a magnavox dvd recorder but says it doesn't include a tuner which is needed to record live tv... but I wanna record videogames so...?

I use a hdmi from my xbox to my dvd recorder and the av input up to my tv but i need a way to have good hd

Do ya put the disc out into the laptop the right click and burn or what? does it save on the disc or do ya have to click save?

This will cause input lag but when you want to record and play, just switch to component mode while the DVD recording screen displays the exact same picture that's on component (xbox footage). So press record while in component and then press stop and then switch back to AV mode and finalize the disc.
