How to record video games with a DVD recorder

Update: Post vids that you recorded as responses if you use it, I'm interested to see if all the vids are like mine.

How I record my games. There is a slight delay when recording this way, and it's in low definition. Any questions? message me. Want to see the quality? Watch some of my CoD 4 or SSBB vids on my channel.

You need:
A DVD RECORDER
DVD-R's to record onto
A computer with a DVD ROM (or drive)
A gaming system
1 A/V cable

Do you need a tuner to do this? I saw a magnavox dvd recorder but says it doesn't include a tuner which is needed to record live tv... but I wanna record videogames so...?

Do ya put the disc out into the laptop the right click and burn or what? does it save on the disc or do ya have to click save?

It all works fine, but when i try to record my Mario Kart Wii races, it's a little blurry (slower), playstation 2 works fine and other wii games are perfect too, is it because Mario Kart Wii is too 'fast'? Any ideas?
