I bought my little Percy from a previous owner too. The guy said he needed more space. Pah, bet it was because he wants a girlfriend. :( Anyways, I've had him for half a year. He's 4 years old.

The best place I've found for ordering silkies and hornworms is Coastal Silkworms. Not the cheapest, but not too expensive either - and they've always shipped me healthy looking insects.

He was such a cute little lizard, lots of quirks and personality in the few years I had him. He ended up dying while he slept a few weeks ago, and was buried in the woods with his favorite basking log & hideaway.

He looks good for an old man, haha! 11 yrs old, you've raised him well.

I've only had him for the past ~4 years, got him from a family that wasn't really interested in keeping him any longer. He is still quite spry for his age, though he sleeps a lot more often now.

Hm, i wouldn't recommend feeding him something he has trouble getting down like that. you may know better than me but bad things can happen if he has trouble getting it down. hard bodied animals especially. like crickets and small pinky's just.. explode when they bite them you know? just get a second opinion before you feed him too many of these

I don't see where he was having trouble with it? He paused halfway through swallowing it (which I've also seen him do with small mealies), then at the end of the video the hornworm was hanging on to Vex's lip with its back two pseudolegs.
Admittedly, I'd never feed him a hard-bodied insect of that size because of the potential for impaction.
