  • 2 people smell of poo

  • I had a klaxxon ready to sound on the punchlines when a watch this

  • @lewis72 I am aware of that. American universities use the term even more loosely to mean any tutor. But I used professor without a capital P so it means a teacher and not an appointed university or college. Wikipedia has "Literally, professor derives from Latin as a "person who professes" being usually an expert in arts or sciences"

  • @dfarmbrough

A PhD makes you a Doctor, not a Proffessor. A Proffessor is a title that's given to you by a university, a bit like "manager" in a company. It stays with you though, if you leave.

  • I STILL say 'that's you that is' as childish banter to my boyfriend. Never fails to make either of us laugh.

  • Remember this as a kid - it just never gets old to me - still cracks me up even now.

  • @alanheath yup. if its funny and you don't know why, It's British. like the little bald guy getting his head slapped on Benny hill, or "spam spam spam spam"

  • And now he IS an old professor! (or would be if he could ever finish his PhD thesis!)

  • @Portboot ye i kno

  • @burnt62 Robert is still out there. Have you seen "The History of the World Backwards" and "The History of Oil" ? As fantastically good as you'd expect.

They were an amazing double act, in a way it's good that it ended so soon so it never got the chance to lose it's shine. We can look back on it forever with fondness and a longing for that special 20th anniversary reunion or w/e.
