  • What does this have to do with Lily Allen, did she sample it or something?

  • @playon51 I'm not sure what was up with this - just people sharing their enthusiasm i suppose.

  • The "Hag" put his heart and soul into singing. I miss the songs like this. The stuff these days cannot compare to songs sung back then. Thanks very much for bringing back good ole memories.

  • @SensualNana61 You're welcome...I'm pleased to read it has brought some "good ole" memories to you!

  • One week to go before I see the legend that is Merle in Tucson. Can't wait!!

  • wow how did he know that

  • Hey Lily Allen fans, that's great. Did you like Merle's song or did you just write it off for being country?

  • Sorry, thats the wrong title, its " I threw away the rose".

  • The first time I remember hearing Merle was in the 60s and the song was "The days of wine and roses". I thought,"my God who is that". Ive been a fan to this day, he can do any song ever written better than most. God bless you Merle.

  • @LyricalMastermind2 that movie was a real pain in the butt?

  • @jkoncz was played constantly at McCarthys tavern in Jennings MO in the 70's

  • Thumbs up if Lily Allen DIDN'T bring you here
