We had to make a car that stops completely and starts on the stored energy.

  • How did you made that ? with capacitors that store the energy?? do you have a website or such? that you explained your project?

    Great thing.

  • hi, thanks for your interest in our project~ never expected anyone to comment about it. We used springs to store energy since this is a 2nd mechanical engineering project. I'm not entirely sure but as far as I know, at such low speed, capacitors won't work that well. We don't have a webpage but if you are interested, i can send/post some pics of what goes on inside.

  • hey hiii i'm doing a project on regenerative braking can you please guide us how to go about it.. if possible please send us some input about it.

  • how did u design the braking system? and how does it generate power?

  • Electrically it would make more sense to make a simple generator (dynamo) that utilises the rotation of the axle then switches terminals to act as a motor to power the car from stored energy from a battery charged by the generator
