i just bought a 87 dually, same truck looks like, that 2wd right? and what have to done to it performance wise? obviously exhaust, anything else to help it smoke like that?

@kawana87 radiator support, it rusts out on everyone of them i have seen and the u joints will get ya
the engines them self are great imo

By brother broke the shaft in that tranny and we put the 4spd out of my '84 250 in it and it never ran as good, would only do around 40mph in 3rd gear. With the original tranny and the turbo, the truck would get wicked good mileage on the interstate.

A 5.9 Cummins is definatly NOT overrated, they are simple, well built, durable, very powerful engines. How can you be too proud to like an old idi but not respect a Cummins... Must be a kid

@DrMcelroy what he's tryin to say is there are too many people going around shouting out OH CUMMINS IS THE BEST CANT BEAT A CUMMINS EVERYTHING ELSE IS SHIT I NEED ME MY CUMMINS AND EVERYONE ELSES TRUCK SUCKS.
