Amazing! Never heard this one before! (a Master already at 17.) Did you know that Enesco was Dinu's God-father? And there is a photo of Enesco putting a laurel on little Dinu's head! (who is 2 y.o. with a small violin in his hand.) Later Dinu got the Enesco prize for several of his compositions!

@ellandelachapelle It is Enescu, not Enesco. Same way Ionescu is Ionescu and not Ionesco.

HEY! Listen to 1:54 of this video, and then listen to Alkan's Overture for Piano Op. 39 No. 11... It's basically the same thing, only slightly different harmonies!!!
Away from that, wonderful playing and wonderful piece! My friend introduced me to Enescu (I already knew of Lipatti), and this is spectacular! Thanks for the upload.

Hello, you find about 6 original audio cd's, original audio cd's to EMI classical music. Chopin complete Valses, bach, liszt, brahms and more.... these are fantastic!

cine poate pune si restul suitei..
Actually, Lipatti wasn't 17 when he did this one: it was recorded in 1943, so he was 26. He was 16 or 17 when he recorded another Enescu excerpt (from the first Sonata) in Paris. Either way, great playing (better than the music, really...)

@markarama23 This is true. I take this recording from a CD without booklet and this was a memory laps of me.
