Perfect voices, perfect harmony, top of sung in all. Yeterday I had heard (ARD) a modern Don Pasquale of Paris. For me was the Norina a Catastrophe, also all round (Clothes,regie etc.).
Toti dal Monte, Terrazinni, and all this old primadonnas could sung this wonderfull musik. Today its very sad. All voices today are inpossible singing this wonderfull Donizettis, Bellinis etc. arias.

This is a semitone lower than written,STILL Tito Schipa does not sing the high frase. (It would be high C,when semitone lower) He takes a lowered one. I heard also La donna e mobile with him on youtube,semitone lower..... When I studied in Italy,Maestro Ferrari said:" Italian tenors dont sing lowered versions". Brave words,but not quite true for all italian tenors... Still beautiful singing... I like Florez version...
