That is wonderful! You do not need a wheel or a kiln. The traditional Ghanaian potters do not use a wheel and either mound fire or pit fire. Just go for it. You will find lots of information out there. Keep me informed. I am so happy that you connected with this video.

I am not sure what sand they used as it was in a bucket but whatever you use, make sure it is fired out first to bisque temp if it comes from the beach. Just put it in a bisque bowl and put it in the kiln. Salt in your claybody will make your work crumble. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it.

Great video! Very interesting! But I wonder if the rounded globular pot we see at the end of the video is the same as in the beginning, that looks like a hemispherical pot, with a flat bottom? Or if it is two different types of pots. Beautiful pottery. And stupid plastic! : / Thanks for sharing! : )
