  • @888janeli no just treat the whole tank because the ick is in your tank, the rest of the fish will eventually get it if you do not treat the tank.

  • surely you would mix the treatment with 1/2 litre of water before hand and pour equally across the tank ... from personal experiance its much more effective

  • @chacoal and heater will speed up life cycle of the ich. If you dont do this treatment now you fish might become vulnerable to tail and fin rot and septicemia,,, redness along tail, fins skin and eventually causes death,,, dont add any salt or chemical. go on with the heat treatment which is very effective.. I have saved my goldfish with ich that caused tail rot and fin rot, by using a heater for 10 days...

  • @chacoal IF your fish are stressed with clamped fins and sitting at the bottom of the tank, there are different possibilities..... how good is your water? or when you changed your aquarium water, did you use a water conditioner to remove chlorine. another possibility can be of ich.... coz the ich dig up to the skin of the fish and fish becomes lethargic. Best cure is to buy a heater and slowly raise the temperature to 35 degree C(95 Degree F) for a week as ich cant tolerate warm water.

  • my fish have their fins close to their body and sit on the bottom of the tank, i realize their stressed is there any cure for this that your aware of?

  • I've always had success by adding some non iodized salt to the water.

  • Hey can anyone let me know if ick guard from Jungle is good

  • its cald ick you ickiod

  • i started a new aquarium about 3 weeks ago and my fish have got ich since this is my first. aquarium so i would like to no how to treat it before getting a bigger tank what should i use in my tank i have neons, rummy noses, platties, bristle noses and glowlights. i have no heater since it is a small tank.

  • You can kill ich with just heat alone. Ich cannot survive temps above 86 but is only susceptible to treatment once it detaches from the fish an is in it's free swimming stage. Anytime I've had to deal with ich, I just turn the heat to around 88 and wait till I see no signs on the fish - then leave the heat up for at least 10 days to ensure all ich is dead. You want to vac the gravel well too. I have treated this way 3 times with success and no fish deaths. I would only use medication if the fis

  • ok i have cherry shrimps in my 10 gallon community tank but my betta fishe has the ich what is the best treatment to get rid of ichs without harming the shrimps?
