High Quality - SEPTA 4642 with a trio of single unit Silverliner IV's reaches the end of the line at Elm Street at Norristown, and right behind is CSX B738, with a new bridge for SEPTA on a couple of TTX flats among the cars, heading up the Stony Creek Branch October 23 2009
oaks: I know that this is a shot in the dark but, I'll ask anyway. A number of years ago, probably the late 90s, a guy was arrested in the Philly area. He was detained and ultimately sent to the Norristown State Hospital for being a danger to himself and to others. He was an older, 70+, white male who believed a plethora of conspiracy theories about connections between ppl going back hundreds of years. They said he was a paranoid schizophrenic so they put him away.
You got anything on this?

I believe at that crossing is the interlocking signal BEFORE the roadway,,,if the freight had anything better than a stop signal, then the gates would have already been down. As he had to ask permission to pass the STOP signal, the locomotive had to hit the circuit just passed the wayside to activate the crossing.
