This was Walt Disney's personal favourite of all Sherman Brother's song that they wrote for his movies. When they were on staff at the studios he would often invite them to his office of a Friday Afternoon, and they'd play this for him - and he'd often look out of his office window and just contemplate...
I used this Sing-A-Long for my Mary Poppins audition for the Australian production of the show. Thank you so much for posting it up. It was very helpful. :)
this is one of the many disney movie songs that made me think and then eventually cry from just thinking on it. it reminds me of those who are alone. im one of them :(
Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. In other words, when I listened to this song as a kid it didn't mean much to me. Now that I'm an adult and I understand it more, it actually makes me cry a little. I would have been a little embarrassed to admit it before, but not now. I hope that answers your question.
Ohh I COMPLETELY know what you mean... It's a great song, and just the music and everything is very moving... I always hated the end... I think as a kid I was too connected with the characters.
