* Sixties song for sixties ladies *
This is a tribute to two famous french singers during the sixties (and after of course): France Gall and Sylvie Vartan. Medley of pics with a very famous song in France : "Belles, belles, belles", by Claude François.
Enjoy !

  • ce que j'aurais aimé grandir dans ces années- là ! Pouvoir chantonner ces chansons sans être prise pour une folle^^

  • Wish I had been living in France in the 1960's!

  • I am so happy to be a frenchman for theses songs ; )

  • Bella mujer, bellas las francesas.

  • @megladon9 Thanks for the information, which clears up some confusion seen in other videos.

  • @megladon9 isn't Nichola Sarkozy of Bulgarian or Hungarian origin?

  • @nemo1588 I do agree with you! Music is like a glue which tighten people together wherever they were born and France is a great melting pot !

  • sylvie Vartan is born in bulgaria -Sofia- her dad was Bulgarian of Armenian descent she emigrate with her parents to Paris when she was 8 years old

she was married to jean philippe SMET (johnny halliday) french singer

after her divorce in 1980 she married Tony Scotti an american producer

  • @seeyoulater33 - It's true she wasn't born in France but she was certainly brought up there - so I think it's fair to say she's culturally French. And anyway, does it really matter? I'm thinking of Charles Aznavour, also of Armenian descent, although he was born in France, and who is often thought of as a quintessentially French performer. Doesn't music cross boundaries, whatever the language and the ethnic origin of the performer?

  • You mean Sylvie Vartanian. She's not French. She's Armenian
