Time Lapse footage of the Gateshead Millenium Bridge opening to let a boat through, and then closing again. Filmed with an Agfa Movexoom 10, on Kodak Ektachrome 64T Super 8 Film in April 2007. The time lapse setting was 1 frame a second.

  • Super 8 looks cool, but was it windy?

  • No, it wasn't very windy at all!

  • Oh, it was just kinda shaky and it's obvious it's on a tripod.

  • Yeah, that just seems to be the effect of using super 8 film! Kind of cool though, and one of the things I really like about it!

  • other than it being novel, why bother building this. it isn't very efficient. they should have just built a stationary bridge to preclude water and land travel disruption

  • its caaled the gateshead millenium bridge and it spans both sides of the river tyne it looks amazing especially when yer see it blink its well mint like
