no matter how good you are..
there's always someone better somewhere in this world

Flautist is the term used in the US, and i thought most other places for longer as well. It was my impression that James Galway wanted to change that word, and use flutist instead. I figured that if anyone had a right to, it was james Galway.

looks kind of like Tina Burr but i doubt it is cuz it doesnt sound like her at all.

@lifestoryofmusic Not really. Flautist is a term used in the states. I once heard James Galway whine about how we Americans like to make everything sound so sophisticated and important. 'Flutist' has been around waaaay longer, so I figure it would be, you know, the "right" one, so to speak.

flautist is right its derived from the italian word flauto and since itlian is the langauge that is mainly used in music aside from the smaller percentage of french and other langauges than flautist is more correct well done
-
i'm pretty sure flautist is right

this is the world's greatest youtube replyist...and I'm here to tell you that the word is properly used and that you might be hearing from the world's greatest sense of humor developer-ist next :)
