I think the 1991 UNLV team was better than 1990, though they didnt win the NCAA championship

@DNSKansas Yeah because it makes sense to show losing footage in a highlight reel. By the way, Shaq had 17 pts, Larry Johnson 27, who was "PWNING" in that game comparing the two? If anyone it was Jackson and LJ to the opposing defenses. How many championships does LSU have with Jackson and Shaq?... 0. UNLV was two games away from an undefeated year, after winning it all the previous year. They were pretty damn good, despite "The Fixer" and bogus violations all year. Again now, what's your point?

@wilbert916 Thats true and that was because the NCAA would not be slapped in the face by a "thug" team who they were investigating so heavy. They would have looked foolish had they allowed UNLV to win back to back titles during an era that they were being heavily scrutinized.

This team was a force to be reckoned with. Easily counted amongst the greatest college teams EVER. Even the teams that could compete with them were afraid of them!

UNLV of this year was unquestionably the greatest team of all-time. Kentucky was close but lost to U Mass on a neutral court and Mississippi St. UNLV beat #2 Arkansas @Arkansas. They also beat many other non-conference teams big including Michigan St and Florida St. Not to mention a 30 point win over Duke on a neutral court.

Perhaps, that is why Nolan Richardson calls them the greatest team of all-time. Bobby Hurley also played against many teams and called UNLV better than the "fab 4". #1

1996 UK was the best team ever, and I don't see how it's that debatable. 9 NBA players, destroyed teams by 20-30 on the regular, averaged 92 ppg, put up 86 in the first half against LSU, and beat every team they played that year including UMass and Miss St, two teams that beat UK who UK also beat that year. That team was domination.

@wilbert916 u r right my friend the 1991 unlv team was so good they didnt play their best at all threw the game didnt take it serious and still almost beat duke again after unlv blew out duke in 1990 the real crooks at unlv were not jerrytarkanian and the team but the real crooks were school preisdent robert maxon and athletic director dennisfinfrok going behind tarks back i met someone who worked in unlv coliance party back then who said tark didnt do illegalstuff also i know ncaasdavideber
