This is a message of hope, silent prayers answered, and God's timing. After 27 years my family and I have finally reunited with George, our brother. In September of 2009, we received a phone call that changed our lives forever. We had almost given up hope that one day he would return, and right when we were about to lose faith, God intervened and blessed us with our brother again. My mother, sisters Leigh Ann and Sharon, and I embarked on a journey to reunite with him at the homeless shelter that was helping him. The day we saw him was October 20th and it was a day like no other. He had been living homeless all these years and chose, for reasons we will probably never understand, to not come home. It was a mixture of emotions to see him again; joy and sadness, but truly the best day of our lives. Before he left, he was one of the most handsome and charming men you would have ever set eyes on. A multi-instrumentalist, he enjoyed writing songs and playing in his band. He was the best at what he did. And now, after all these years, he is back in our arms again. A true miracle! This story is a true testament of God's amazing guidance and protection, love and forgiveness, hope and restoration. So, this Holiday season, we ask that when you see a homeless person, think about where they came from, the road they have walked and the families they have that miss and love them. We ask you after reading this and seeing this video that you will never look at another homeless person the same. They are someone's brother or sister, son or daughter, nephew or niece, cousin and friend. What Faith Can Do - by Kutless truly speaks to our story and I hope you will enjoy. • I just ran into Leslie and she told me about this video. I believe in miracles. Faith is real. I was the one who made the call at Georges request. It was a long shot but God made a way and I'll never forget the day I had 30+ messages on my machine from the Bartlett family. What a joy it is to see this video. God Bless...

  • I have often wondered about George. We went to school together and he was a good friend. I am so happy to see that George found his way back to his family.

  • Grew up around George, played baseball and rode Honda Sport 50's in the mid-sixtys. Could always know where George was sitting at the State Theater, because he had a specific laugh that would standout over all others. We were in Boy Scouts together and his dad was a Scoutmaster, but George was always in the middle of everything. Lost touch when he moved in late-sixtys and would hear about his music and a band called Krunch. If I knew where he was, I would go see him. Randy Atkison

  • I thought of George many times .....was a talented musician....co-wrote some great songs for a project in Little Rock Arkansas....lost contact from there....is it possible to contact him now...thanks.....Johnny Baxter

  • There were many folks in Charleston that knew and loved George. One lady in particular took him meals almost everyday. I am glad that he is reunited with his family and to know what happened to him.

  • I will sincerely keep George in my prayers. Perhaps we will cross paths here in Tulsa. God moves in devine appointments and miracles...

  • Amen! So blessed by your story...God is good!

  • George is blessed to have a special family like you. Never giving up on him and having faith in answered prayer.

I still remember in the 7th grade, being new to Corning from McDougal, him and his friend came up to me and his friend wanted to know if it was true we were cousins, believe 1965. So long ago

    Welcome Home!!!

    Cousin Gary

  • Wow! A life that we thought was lost! It is truly a privilege to have our Brother back in our lives again. They say true love grows deeper every year and I know it is true! We love him more today than yesterday! We have been given a second chance at life and our life as we have known it will never be the same again!

I send up prayers for all watching for love that exceeds your wildest dreams!

    To my family-YOUR THE BEST!
