Poison & Wine (Matthew/Mary)

I'm afraid this might be my last vid for a while. In five days I'm leaving for England to study abroad for the semester (possibly the year), and based on what I've seen of the syllabuses for my upcoming courses it's going to be a difficult three months. It's possible that I WILL vid (maybe even a lot! Vidding is my go to procrastinator), especially if Merlin is particularly epic this series, but I just wanted to warn you in case school consumed my life.

I finally watched Downton Abbey this summer, and like so many others I fell in love, especially with these two. When I heard this song again a few weeks ago it seemed to SCREAM their relationship to me. Both so stubborn and ruled by pride, and yet they're both so clearly in love with each other. (My heart will break if they are not endgame.) I hope you enjoy!

Matthew: But the sea monster didn't get her, did he?
Mary: No. Just when it seemed he was the only solution to her father's problems, she was rescued.
Matthew: By Perseus.
Mary: That's right. Perseus. Son of a god. Rather more fitting, wouldn't you say?
Matthew: That depends. I'd have to know more about the princess and the sea monster in question.

Mary: And I mean nothing in all of this!
Matthew: On the contrary, you mean a great deal -- a very great deal.

Matthew: God knows I wish the best for you.

Matthew: They're clearly going to push one of the daughters at me!

Mary: Has Mr Crawley left?

Matthew: If you really like an argument, we should see more of each other.

Mary: The whole thing is a complete joke!

I remember you vidding P&W (which is one of my FAVORITE FAVORITE songs) but I wasn't sure if it was for DA or for The Hour but I looked it up just in case. So I just sat down and watched all 7 eps of the 1st series I am desperately in love with these two. It's one of those ships that makes your heart ache. I am desperately hoping that they end up together. Your editing, BB is just so simply perfect for these two. :D Just simple, subtle and beautiful editing, just like their relationship. ♥
