Hi! I have s question. I was approved to receive disability and was told I would be getting a large sum but my monthly payments would be $1500.00 a month. Now, when I would get the ss yearly printout around the time I stopped working it said I would get 1932.00 a month. Q: why the change in amounts. Q: I have worked since I was 16 an am 48 yrs now. Do I have to be 65 to tap into my soc sec? Or can a get a monthly stipend? Thank you in advance!

The real question is if your going to recieve lets say 7k in back pay. Will that back pay put you over the resource limit for benefits. For a single individual its 2k. Since the expectations will exceed that will you be cut off from ssdi?

If you can follow up and do another video about my question. I was just approved but have not recieved any checks. I was just wondering when would I get my back pay they say it is like 14 grand. Again though I never have recieved a check for ssi but since my ssdi is more then the ssi benefits they will only use i guess the ssi to get my back payment.

Thanks for covering the age and grids subject. All of your videos are most helpful.
Hi, first, I love your video's, you are more giving of help in this area then anyone I see online, so thanks for that. I have a guestion, might seem a bit odd but, when someone is in the process of applying for disability and they travel out of the Country for some weeks, does the fact that they traveled work against their possible eligibility? I know those with disability do travel and needs normalcy as much as possible but is in the middle of applying the worst time to do this?
