08-FBC F-16 B-Course Graduation Video

The culmination of 4 years of school, 2 years of Pilot Training, and 6-9 months of flying God's gift to aviation, the F-16C Viper. All flying is done by the 14 men of the 61st Fighter Squadron class 08-FBC and takes place over the skies of Phoenix, AZ.

Only 2 years of pilot training and 6-9 month conversion? Becoming a fighter pilot in the RAAF takes a minimum of 4 years. Seems pretty short, but sick video.

@ceskazbrojovka17HMR - Then we have another few months of MQT with the squadron before we're fully CMR. It's right at three years to become a wingman.

@quatro16 Ah ok then. What would be the youngest age a pilot would be? There was a 22 year old flying the hornets a few years back over here. Im assuming around 24-25 because a degree is needed?

Things are always changing, but my guess is that things will start to change by FY12.

It shouldn't take a few years to clear up... Enjoy BIT as much as you can. It's worth the wait to fly Vipers.
