  • what do you call the midi-triggered keyboard representation at the top of the video?

  • We call that the "virtual keyboard". It is on all of the videos that we do.

  • @JazzEDge What software do you use to record / generate the virtual keyboard? Is that just a screen capture of the keyboard in a notation software?

  • @rjjones2020 Its called the "virtual keyboard" it is a proprietary piece of technology to JAZZEDGE.

  • This a great concept. I learned about substitute dominants at Berklee. Along with secondary and extended dominants

  • great vid!! that first set of chords you did in the key of C sounded alot like the piano part of Nine Inch Nails "All the love in the world" near the end of the song.

  • you lessons are great! i play guitar but most of your lesson is about music theory itself and It's so much easier to undestand using a piano! great!!!!

  • okay i know this is a jazz and gospel video, but any chance any one has any links to pages or videos that shows how this can be used on guitars while playing rock or metal? Heard Dave Mustaine of Megadeth talk about it in a magazine somewhere and i guess it sounded interesting......anyways i have pretty poor music theory knowledge so i'd appreciate any and all help, Thanks

  • what a fantastic teacher, I could listen to him lecture all day

  • @FingerstyleTV nope, tritone is the agmented 4th or diminished 5th, the blues note

  • Bless you brother. Where can I find the next chapter?

  • thank you so much your the first guy who explained it right!
