A 3-hour woodcarving process, condensed into 6 minutes. Watch in amazement as a small block of basswood transforms into a decorative spoon before your very eyes!

  • 3 hours. oh my. I've been working on a 2 foot Scottish spoon for 2 weeks.. Out of poplar though as I can't find any speciality wood around where I live and I'm doing it all by hand. No power tools. :(

    Great job. Thanks for posting

  • @mbritton34 I didn't do mine all in one day, either -- that was three hours, across about 4 days. All for a 3-inch spoon. :) A 2-foot spoon sounds like quite an undertaking! I'd love to see pictures when you finish it.

  • wow that's a thing of beauty, what wood did you use, lime?

  • @falco1066 Just basswood, actually. I'd love to try lime sometime, though!

  • Kinda wonder if the dremel would be good for this?

  • @Moe7133 I'm not much into power carving myself, but I'm sure a dremel would work fine.
