Blackcomb Mtn Fire 09. Boeing Helicopters

A small video dedicated to the hard working FireFighters, Flight Crews and Support Staff involved in Forest Fire Suppression.
This fire was caused by a lightning strike that spread quickly, due to winds, on Blackcomb Mtn, one of the venues for the the Vancouver Winter Olympics.
Aircraft seen here are Boeing 107 (Vertol) and Boeing 234 (Chinook). An AS 350 is parked at WHP with a Suppression Crew.
Cockpit view is of a Bell 206.

Correction: 30 July 2009 was actual strike date. A couple of photos are from a follow on operation, were I grabbed the date.

I remember sitting by the pool at the panpacific village and looking up seeing a huge cloud of smoke and i was one of the first people to see it and report it, good video!!
