I have been on boats and the animals have plenty of space, are fed good fodder and are well looked after. There are hospital pens for the sick or injured animals. This video is not even close to the reality of the situation apart from point of slaughter which there is very little we can do about as it is in another country.
All these videos have really upset me. Fuck you Julia Gillarad, I hope you fucking die a slow painful death!! and for all the cunts torturing these poor helpless animals, I would love to torture you and leave you to rot you disgusting sick fuckers!!!!!!!
@johnnyeggbeater What more do we need to know. For many of us, the fact that anyone is even willing to kill an animal for something as stupid as a cheesburger or car seats is enough to mark them as 'cruel'(among other things). No offense just pointing out what some people mean by cruel.
Im aware there are number of private farms who allegedly refrain from inflicting 'unnessary' pain or suffering and give their animal the best, albeit short' lives they can. Id still give them kutos for that
Liberal Senator Chris Back said the live sheep trade was an integral component of the nation's livestock industries and contributed significantly to the provision of food in the Asian and Middle East regions. He said the fact he was actively engaged as a veterinarian in the trade and did many trips to the Gulf gave him confidence in supporting the industry
I have one advantage over those who criticise so stridently, Mr Back said
I have experience in this field and know what I am talking about
What a horror, the Australian government needs to urgently stop this cruelty that people stupid! These animals have souls and feel pain like us. The pain is the same for animals, they may suffer more because they have no way of defending itself.
I'd like to think that those who breach the Animal Welfare Act are prosecuted - but realistically those who administer the law are also those people who run the industry. Did you know that workers on these disgusting ships throw live sick animals overboard to reduce costs that they know will be incurred once the receiving country rejects them?
not all people who work in the meat trade are cruel.. its actually quite the opposite. if you are caught breaching animal welfare acts you are dismissed immediately and also face criminal charges... i think before you go making such statements craig1377 you should find out a little info first... and not just from rspca or peta who only tell you what they want you to hear no matter how one sided it seems...
I will never ever understand why people involved with the meat trade are so cruel to the animals, is it not bad enough that they are killing the animals....I think all people involved with the meat industry should be treat this way, then see what they are like with animals!

If this is how Australians are making money, then they should hang their heads in shame.
