  • @Shermanicus Lol, I wouldnt go as far as to say that but yeah there are a few weak tracks on it :D

  • Yes,.......... Davey Jones at the mixing board and Jimmy Osterberg cutting the white lines in full view of the Russian's soldiers' binoculors on the other side of the wall - those were the days in Berlin!

    Ah..Berlin..those were the days...Heroes!

  • Yes i definatley think Berlin would of been a great plac to be circa late seventies, actually from what i read in David Byrnes book 'Bicycle Diaries' it still sounds a very interesting and vibrant pace to be,I would very much like to go there :).

  • who' better lou reed of led zep? u say there's no comparison? well they both made records didn't they?

  • this album is completely autobiographical, welcome to the late sixties.. andy was andy warhol and when he got shot....

  • swoop, swoop, oh baby, rock, rock, swoop, swoop, rock, rock . . .

  • The first time I was listening to this album I was walking around with earphones. When Lou sang "When people say her feet smell they mean her nose", I couldn't help laughing loud in the street... Everybody looked at me as a dangerous psychopatic laughing alone!!!!

  • bowie is a talent yet could not touch the lyrics Lou has given us - English major, and resident genius

  • @newfuckingwave

Totally agree with everything you just said........

  • everything bowie touched turned to gold (and ronson too for that matter). lou's sound was fully realized when he teamed up with david, just like iggy pop reached his full potential with him. and that's not to say lou and iggy weren't fucking brilliant themselves. rather it's a testament to how important a good producer is, even to the most talented mucisians. hell, bowie himself understood this, and that's why he always chose to work with another great set of ears, case and point tony visconti

  • @MrLuciferSam and don't forget eno lurking in the shadows and looking for strange things to make music with. ahh to be a fly on the wall . . . (even the backing musicians were fucking legends)

  • nice one mate..............cheers, Joao
