Happy Birthday President Reagan

Two different visions for America. President Reagan launched his effort to return America to greatness with simple but profound words during his first inaugural speech, "In the present times Government is not the solution to our problems. Government is the problem."

From there he put words into action passing historic tax cuts, cutting back on onerous government regulations and the results of the President's free market policies: Growth, Prosperity, and Hope.

Well said Mr. President. We miss you. There's a joker in the white house now who wants to turn us into another socialistic european country.... nullifying over 200 years are hard fought for freedom. I pray our next president real understands what makes this country exceptional, and helps to return us to prosperity, morality, and leadership the whole world can once again look up to. America is great, and will continue to be that way if we the people do not forget our history, and those who died.

And you can see how well socialist European countries are doing right now. Greece has 2-3 times the debt to GDP ratio that we do, Italy with 2x the ratio. They're up to their ears in debt and you would think our liberal politicians would learn that isn't the way to go, but they instead FAVOR this type of society, rather than what has worked for us the last 100 years.

Ronald Reagan created the drug war, raised taxes eleven times while in office, he opened the department of veteran affairs, he created the largest corporate tax increase in over two years of 120 billion. Under Reagan the federal debt jumped from 700 billion to 3 trillion. He gave blanket amnesty to illegal immigrants. Reagan agreed to 165 billion dollar bailout to social security and medicare. Reagan raised taxes to pay for government run healthcare.
