In Snow Leopard Server you can leverage the new Mobile Access feature to provide proxy services to client systems for traffic entering your environment. This means that you now have a robust proxy service that can allow iCal, Address Book, Mail and Web users to access data from a remote location without directly connecting to your network, a requirement to come into compliance in a number of environments. The Mobile Access server acts as a reverse proxy, allows customization of ports and leveraging the firewall in Mac OS X Server 10.6, should provide for the safest possible computing environment as far as dealing with incoming traffic is concerned. In this video we cover allowing incoming access, customizing the proxy and of course, limiting which users can access these services.
