As much as i love lennon and macartney.. Paul Wellers songs said more to me than they ever did. Has his songwriting in the late 70s and early 80s ever been bettered by anyone? Havent heard anything as sharp lyrically as this, or anything to match the songwiting on setting sons or all mod cons since by any other artist!

@yaliag 'thick as thieves' is an expression used to say when people are really really close friends.. inseperable as it were.. its saying how close they were, and how nothing could come between them, but as time went on they drifted apart. beautiful lyrics if i do say so myself :)
