There are less than 60,000 orangutans left in the wild today. We are currently losing almost 7,000 a year... find out why?

yeh how would you like to be an orangutan and ose your home i do not understand.they are just like us and are our family what is wrong with these stupid people. the orangutans are so cute what did they do to you that you have done to them. i love orangutans whats wrong with them are they a problem?

  • Thank you so much for this video. I love our red cousins and I am on everybodys site that is fighting for them , for the origin people of Sumatra, and Borneo and for the nature its selve!

  • Can the Australian/Indonesian/Malaysian governments nut out a deal that effectively puts a stop policy on rainforest clearing & unsustainable farming practices, by making suitable Australian land available for joint venture palm oil plantations? eg transforming some cane farms accross the top end, maybe a 'land credit for rainforest/ habitat scheme'?Come on ministers for the environment...after all, it IS International Year of Bio-diversity or are we all going to watch orangutans perish?

  • Its them mexicans doing illegal logging which is destroying there homes! I dont understand why would you take away a animal's habitat just to make a few dollors?.......

  • this realy moved me. its sad to think that there could be an end to urangutans in the wild so soon. Ive have never met or seen a urangutan other than on the tv but one of my ambitions in life is to one day look after abandoned or abused urangutans and help make sure they have a brighter future.

  • there was a documentry on them the other day. they are such human animals and why people arnt helping them more than they should is crazy.

i hope people learn from this.

    :)

  • people killing my favourite animal is just unexplainable.. i hate themm.. we must try and help save these beautiful creatures as much as possible..its so devastating to know that more and more die every year.. what a powerful video i hope this helps people realise what bad people are out there!!!
