  • What shotty practices! What ensemble has the time? Even by the way you speak one can tell you've only ever dealt with naive children. A conductor shouldn't learn a piece with the orchestra. Any conductor who has worked with a union ensemble- or even apathetic teenagers knows one must be concise and effective in rehearsal technique. It helps no one to run a piece ad nauseum.

  • How do you go into different rooms at the same time?

  • If it was as easy as watching this [awful] video, I wouldn't be spending the money on a Music Ed degree...but guess what...

  • Wow...just wow...this was 'related' to a Gergiev video! This guy should not be let anywhere near an orchestra. Keep him in this padded room!

  • AND we have to put up with some advertisement first? How dare you.

  • Is this expert village meaning he is an expert? I can just imagine sitting in one of his rehearsals waiting for him to finish one of his long hesitant sentences. Some advice from a conductor; always prepare yourself thoroughly. Be it for rehearsal or even making videos online. You don't want to come across as if you haven't put a lot of thought into it.

  • what this guy tells about conducting is a shame for every professional conductor or student. This can't be meant serious!!
