  • tony tan and hazel poa did the right thing to leave RP. RP is a disorganized group with shoddy and dodgy characters. a real disappointment. son of JBJ is utterly boring and a horrible speaker who cannot connect to the people. the reasons for alex tok, tony tan and hazel poa leaving RP are not really clear but i suspect it has something to do with son of JBJ's leadership. he is not the man his father was.

  • HEY... -VE GDP IS GOOD... DUN BELIEVE THIS SHIT THAT GDP GROWTH = HAPPINESS!... USA HAS BEEN CHASING GDP WITHOUT BUILDING FUNDAMENTAL... LOOK AT WHAT HAPPEN NOW!

  • wow... compare this to the pap sh!t... pap, the reason you dun get gd people anymore is not b'cos you are not paying enough! really good people with passion do not work for money ALONE!

  • please speak good english. damn it. CAN I HAVE SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS ENGLISH FOR THE MINORITIES.

  • My Malaysian friend has 3 children, all on scholarship given by our government i.e. school fee, boarding etc all fully paid by our government . The best part is that there is no bond; they are free to leave after the scholarship. Is this the right policy of so call attracting foreign talent? For info, one of his son has already left for US after his scholarship.

  • Great speech. Vote for change before it gets diluted by the new imports.

  • Is the statistic of $19,000 grant per university student correct? If so, that is a lot of money to be subsidizing foreigners. Why are we subsidizing them when our guys get no subsidy studying overseas? This money can easily be diverted to providing financial assistance to boost our TFR.

    $600 and $800 per child, that's $7200 and $9600 p.a.Until what age?

Shouldn't you have a graduated scheme ie. first child lesser $, second child more$ and so on so as to enhance attractiveness to have more.

  • Agreed with the employment pass issue. There must be some control , quota or filtering system. If there is no limit, then Singaporeans are basically competing with non citizens for jobs here. Well it may be good for companies, it's not good for employee-citizens. Without limits, even if the GDP is high, companies will likely look to foreigners to augment their staff. It's an easy option for companies.

Not a call to ban foreigners but to limit them. Singaporeans must come first!

  • well said i muz agree

  • TFR 2.1... its happening across the world suffering from ageing population. its just shooting at the govt. the problem is our culture... its across all western culture. Ageing population is only reduced when people are lessed focused on making money and having a family. which singaporeans being kiasu wanna make more money.
