"Blue Turning Grey Over You". Ambrose & his Orchestra, from the Mayfair Hotel, London. Vocal refrain by Sam Browne. Recorded, Small Queens Hall, London, Monday July 14th 1930.
One of my favourite Fats Waller/Andy Razaf slow tempo compositions, written straight from their hearts. Not as poignant as their "What Did I Do (To Be So Black And Blue)" but as lovely. Armstrong recorded both in '29 and '30 with great depth of soul and feeling.
meus parabéns ao dono do aparelho pelo bom estado do mesmo

Lovely version! Ambrose on HMV from this period (with Ahola and Polo, nonetheless!) is excellent.
