John, thank you so much for this video. My XKE fuel pump did not work and following your instructions, I was able to bring it back to life. The only thing is that it took me 90 minutes for what you achieved in 9'40''...Again, kudos.
Brill; about to resurrect the old pump to prime the swirl-pot for the injection pump... sure to need the points cleaning after nearly 10 years of no use.
Watch the clip again with the exploded diagram from the manual in front of you. All wll become clear. John - you are a legend. Thank you for continuing to post such useful videos.
I just bought a 1977 MGB. I was driving it home when a small amount of smoke started coming from under the hood. So I turned it off while I was stoped at a light. I tried to turn it back on and it wouldn't start. What do you think it is? Please help.
couldn't follow any of your vid can i suggest a white surface or more light to work with and have a fixed camera you know what you are doing its a shame you don,t pass on your knowledge more clearly.
Thanks Jon - I did it today on my 70 convertable and it worked! Problem is now it leaks like a siv. Did I not get the outer housing screws in tight enough? Seems dangerous being electrical.
