Private Pilot VFR flying into Duluth, Minnesota Sky Harbor KDYT airport music the kinks

The video begins during the descent from cruise altitude, approaching Superior, WI on a 39 deg. heading flying towards Lake Superior. I fly just east of Superior Wisconsin's Bong KSUW airport and make a 45 degree transition into the pattern at Duluth Sky Harbor KDYT on the crosswind leg. I fly a long downwind leg just because the view is so great while going through the pre-landing checklist, hit flaps 10, turn for base leg without losing any altitude because we are so far out, and get stabilized on final approach with flaps 20. I come in a little fast at 70kt. so I give her flaps 30 and set the engine to idle on short final. Because we're carrying too much speed I float a little more than I'd like on the flare but we have plenty of runway and we land uneventfully just slightly left of the runway centerline. After landing we taxi directly to the gas pump where the pump is out of order. I called Flight Services and asked the briefer about any NOTAMs for DYT. There was a NOTAM for rough displaced threshold but nothing about being outta gas! We ended up diverting from our original flight plan and refueled in Cloquet instead. This is my 97th landing and my 14th or so flight hour in my logbook. I hope you enjoyed it.

@Ryan92Ex Well of course it was his 14th hour as a private pilot :) He wouldn't have a PPL if he only had 14 hours. When he says "Logbook" he means his REAL pilot logbook, not the logbook you get while you are training for your license. So he is a recently new Private Pilot :) Hope that clears it up. (Btw he did a great job :) )

Whoa awesome airport! I can't believe how beautiful that is! The Sky Harbor I fly out of is very different (PHX) but I like yours a LOT more! Thanks for sharing the video! Great music too...
