  • @faztclix yes it is I have used it with an older set which has been replaced because it didn't have optical

  • @mijnaccount18

your sound card should be 5.1 compatible also to achieve this

yea its normal, power gets spread to the other speakers, hence you dont get much bass, so dont worry about it. Plus your sub is passive meaning its using the audio wire as its power source, so whilst good for a small room, wont be great ff you want more kick. Buy a subwoofer with its own power supply. If you want more bass, best get seperates, ie amplifier, speakers, subwoofer, but it can cost a lot.

should be on your hometheatre settings/audio settings. On your remote if its samsung its called S/W level.

Continued, Once D.IN is selected, you will here audio from your surround. Now when I switch back to watching say Cable TV, you will hear the audio from Cable TV automaticly. No need of splitters. Just make sure your Hometheatre is hooked up to your HDTV via HDMI, which is important. Hope that helps

  • Shouldn't have to unplug and plug the optical cable to and from your games console to tv, to hear audio. My set up is HDMI connected to my hometheatre (samsung HT-D350K) to my HDTV. The optical cable, is then connected directly from my HDTV to the Hometheatre. My PS3 is hooked up to TV via HDMI of course. Now when I play my PS3 and my hometheatre is off, it will output audio from HDTV only, if I want the surround sound, then all I do is turn the home theatre on, and press SOURCE till I get D.In.

  • Is there a way to increase the bas?
