i have 4600 can i do the same like you??

Well i have HD5770 and default clocks for it are GPU: 850MHz | Memory: 1200MHz. When i open up my CCC and go to Overdrive it says Current values: GPU: 400MHz | Memory: 900MHz . This is even lower than default clocks and when i try to overlock them to 960 and 1400 the current values are still 400 and 900 WHY ?

I'm scared to overclock it lol. Do I need a super powerful fan?

do you know some software to overclock it behond 700 mhz?, because i have 50ºc with the fan at 50% :D

@thedarkholeconsumer Most 4850's have weak VRM's, its actually by design. So in essence the card wants to go faster but its being held back. Furmark is a benchmarking tool that was killing 4850's which is how the public found out that most(but not all brands) of 4850's had this issue. So it sounds like your card is tettering back and forth between what it wants to do(clock faster) and what it can do(weak VRM's). Thats my guess anyway.

i have a ati radeon 4570 on a labtop. will that work or will it crash?
-
OK so this is what happens. I have a 4800, stock at 855 GPU and 975 memory, Every time I click autotune, all it does is start the process, goes into a multi color screen, seems like its doing its thing for a while, but after like 5 min, it goes into a blank black, blue, or orange screen. It just hangs. I left it on like that for about 6 hours, and it still hangs at the blank orange screen.
Any idea whats wrong?

i got that card to its a peace of shit DON"T BUY A 4850 (1gb)
