its a good thing that is doesnt look like an air jordan! how many people make their own shoes? good work.

Pretty cool. I just designed my own moccassins and they're definitely great for sneaking silently in the woods. Nice design. Do you have a sewing machine that can work leather, or did you sew it by hand?

Where did you get the pattern for them?

I'm curious about the side you used for the exterior. I usually put the suede side out. Was there a specific motivation for your configuration?

Great boots. I've been looking into making a pair of leather moccasins to wear around the camp fire at night. This way I can get out of my hiking boots and let my feet breath before bed.

is that deer leather...?
and do you make and sell moccasins because i love your design

These are actually cowhide that has been deer tanned. They have the feel of buckskin. Tandy Leather has it.
We currently do not offer these yet but I did make them.
I am working on a design setup to make them.

First off as someone that tans his own hides and tools leather I have to say nice moccasins but, if the leather is from Tandy the leather isnt a separate type of tan from any of their other colored types of leather. They call it "deer tan" because of its color, its supposed to mimic the traditional buckskin color. Buckskin is a whole different breed of leather altogether.

I am aware of this. The feel is much heavier and thicker. It is also less expensive than buckskin.
