Gill net violation in Honolulu, Hawaii (Aina Haina). I tried for three weeks to give the video (and other evidence) to the Department of Land & Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Conservation and Enforcement (DOCARE), but they didn't want it. I guess DOCARE = Don't Care.

  • DLNR is too busy watching the jet ski people like me.

  • They Just Can't Afford A Boat And Fishing Rods,Don't Forget Bout Da Gas Prices These Days Times Stay Hard Bruhh LOL

  • u know what fuck who eva lay net fo sale to store cause u is one broke hawaiian or any race no mada work fo yo money no use what yo kapuna teach u fo make kala. but if you do um for big party or u know ohana kine get ungpang u no thats tradition .

  • Simple solution... IT'S TIME TO BAN ALL FORMS OF NET FISHING. just like fireworks ban on Oahu. Tough Shit on tradition...

  • If anyone gives you the "Its a traditional Hawaiian method" of fishing tell them that in the old days braking a Kapu had only one penalty and that was death normally by strangulation. So don't fall for the "tradition" bull spewed for 'haoles' you hear. There was very tight regulation and community involvement in the real Hawaiian days. Not like the anything goes nonsense we have now.... Fishing is a joke because of zero regulation and unregulated netting raping the ocean.

  • Shame on them and DLNR

  • aloha,

Thank you for taking the time to protect our limited nearshore resources. Please be careful when dealing with lawbreakers!! Also, this is a no lay net area, surround netting with gill nets can be done under certain conditions. For the game wardens to make a case, they have to be able to document that the alleged perps were using their gill nets in the "lay net fishing method." This means you have to show (vid, testimony) the gill net was set in a stationary open configuration.

  • @nicklepickle12345 Its the location there laying the net at is prohibited

  • its sad sometimes...that's why these laws are in place so that they can try to insure fish for future generations. so sad....good job on the video and i hope these and all you cheating bastards get what you deserve...and if it is for a living....its still wrong, you could tell they knew it was illegal just by the way they were rushing and looking around....

  • they're just trying to make a living too, or use it to eat, nothing is wrong with this if they're not wasting it
