At Demis House
One Day before Demis B-Day
Joe: Ok, let me get this straight, you DONT want me to get you something expensive
Demi: No
Joe: Ok. You and Bella are alike in SO many ways
Demi: *rolls her eyes* Well, we kinda have to be, we are related
Joe: True. Then what do you want for your birthday
Demi: *turns to Joe* Ive been telling ever since the accident what I want but-
Joe: No
Demi: Come on! Please!
Joe: No
Demi: Youre so mean
Joe: Yes, I am
Demi: Why not?!
Joe: *takes Demis hands* I dont want that life for you
Demi: *doesnt know what to say*
Joe: Anything else you want for your birthday?
Demi: Um *bites her lip*
Joe: *just smiles at her*
Demi: No
Joe: *lets go of her hands* Ok *sits on the couch*
Demi: *sits on his lap* Can we please talk?
Joe: About?
Demi: You what about
Joe: No
Demi: Why not?
Joe: Because Im not going to let you just give up on being human, thats hardly fair
Demi: I dont have anything here in my life I want, but you
Joe: Its not just your decision
Demi: Ya, but-
Joe: No
Demi: Fine *sighs* What are we doing for my birthday tomorrow? *smiles*
Joe: Alice, Rosalie, Jasper & Emmett set something up at-
Demi: Your house
Joe: Yes
Demi: *stands up* Im ready
Joe: *confused* For what?!
Demi: For the worst to happen
Joe: *hugs Demi*
I really like the feel of his cold skin on mine. I thought of what I was missing in my life. Then it hit me. I have a vampire for a boyfriend, why not a werewolf for a best friend. I thought of who Jacob introduced me to, Sam, Embry, Jared & Paul, but who else? Oh yeah, Nick. Im picking Nick. Tomorrow before my birthday, Im going down to La Push. Since tomorrow is a Saturday
Joe: *lets go of Demi* What are you thinking?
Demi: Like I said, having me and Bella in the same room Something is bound to happen
Joe: *chuckles* You really think something bad is going to happen
Demi: *nods*
Joe: *sits down on the couch, pats the seat next to him*
Demi: *sits down* What time is it?
Joe: *looks at the clock* 6 p.m.
Demi: *starts to fall asleep*
Joe: *carries her to her room*
The Next Day
Demi: *wakes up, looks at the time, gets dressed, and goes downstairs*
Bella: Whoa! Where are you going?
Demi: Down to La Push
Bella: Why?
Demi: I havent seen Jacob and they promised me a birthday present *heads for the door*
At La Push
Demi: *gets out of the car*
Jacob: Dems! *gives her a hug*
Demi: *hugs him back*
Jacob: *lets go of her* What are doing here?! Wait, isnt today youre birthday
Demi: Yup
Jacob: Guys! Guess whos here!
Sam, Embry, Jared, Paul & Nick: Demi!
Sam: What brings you here?
Embry: Wait, isnt today her birthday?
Demi: Wheres Emily?
Emily: Right here *gives Demi a hug*
Paul: We have a surprise for you
Emily: *lets go of Demi*
Demi: Really?!
Jared: Why wouldnt we?
Demi: I dont know
All: Come on
Demi: *follows them*
Nick: Demi! *gives her a bear hug*
Demi: Its nice to see you again
Nick: Ya, are you also celebrating your birthday with the-
Demi: *gives him the dont-you-dare look*
Nick: The Cullens
Demi: *nods*
Nick: Well, youre going to love your surprise
With Bella
Edward, Alice, Joe, Selena & Skye: *knocks on the door*
Bella: *opens the door* Come in
Selena: Wheres Demi?
Edward: *looks at Bella*
Bella: Down at La Push
Joe, Edward: WHAT!?
Skye: With Jacob?
Bella: *nods*
Edward: Why?!
Bella:*shrugs* I dont know
Alice: Wow!
