Edward Hill versus Muslim Magomaev!
Black & white footage is being performed by the Azerbaidzhani singer Muslim Magomaev in a film from the early 1960s, The Blue Spark.
Magomaev's interpretation of this Ostrovskii composition in the vokaliz (vocalise) style makes perfect sense: he is a man in a night club enjoying himself, so much so that he feels inspired to use his very voice as a musical instrument. Hill (with 'arms akimbo') is doing something altogether different.

Magomaev voice is lively and khil voice is manly. Magomaev sings like he is in theater and khil sings like he is a resting soldier that singing is his past time.
