It was a very liberal modern interpretation of AMSND, just for Act III, Scene I. The ending was invented but follows the written arc. My aim was to have Bottom undergo his emotional transformation in a very realistic way: I portray him as an asshole (an "ass") from the very beginning and thus there is no external transformation, just an internal one as this "princess" professes to love him without explanation. When he wakes, she has disappeared, leaving him dumbfounded but utterly affected.
