A man (played by Paul Panzer) begins smoking his pipe, but discovers to his amazement that a fairy has climbed into the bowl. Filmed by Georges Méliès at the Vitagraph studio in Brooklyn.

didn't they know by 1909 that nicotine was toxic? This is a killer fairy; he should have worked out something nastier to do to her (admittedly, she's not much of a supervillain if she has to be set on fire)
