Good discussion, but you could have addressed some more of the fundamental differences between the two platforms. Such as background tasks, openess of the market (and not limited to a single market) on Android, and the "services" capabilities of Android (one app can provide services to another).

Scoble's complaint about the quality of Twitter apps on Android is just a "point in time" issue.

You are completely WRONG about Kevin Marks, aka "the British guy". He was very much invited and, in fact, is a regular voice on the Gillmor Gang. Not only does he provide valuable insight to the show on a steady basis but IMHO his accent is sexy!

Great discussion - particularly liked hearing Mikes passion for his new life with google voice. Sometimes its worth listening to those early adopters who are having a hard time communicating a major life change technology is making!! You can sense the frustration. Will be watching more of these.

that british guy needs to go. He was skipped in the last round the table comments section, probably wasn't even asked to come, but jp was too nice to tell him no, and then wouldn't shut up. I will say that he did say some interesting things, but just liked his own voice a bit too much, and didn't seem to realize that his accent was grating on everyones ears.

I agree, The Maemo OS does look sick, and with reported 5+MP camera, and expansion of memory adding a 16gb microSD totaling 48gb I believe? It makes N900 a great competitor as well.

Maemo OS (NOKIA, N900) Looks Amazing

and

Blackberry OS (BLACKBERRY, STORM2) Looks Amazing Aswell

I wouldnt be able to choose between the two but would prefer over the DROID and over the IPHONE and definitely Windows Mobile and Symbian.
