Bombs in the Street: Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas Mexico

Taken on December 11, 2011, the eve of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico's Patron Saint. The people of San Cristobal de las Casas run a line of black powder down the middle of the street from the Zocolo (central square) to the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe on a hill probably 10 blocks or so away. When they light the powder, this is what happens. The video cuts out at the end, because my camera was traumatized and I needed to run inside to escape the explosions, not because I'd been killed. It was a close call, though..
