Would you know, this guy is one of the only ones to find water in the desert at night, and a great mud hole on top of it. What is worst he just get in it and ruins it for the rest of us girls

Don't be shy, you can get out Bear Gryll's book "man vs wild", or watch his you tube vids. I've been in similar stuff, and gone all the way under, and gotten out on my own. You don't have to touch bottom to get out

i think they already guessed; his mispronounciation of certain words, plus he didn't know how to make tea, gave away the fact that he was a german, but they didn't want to say anything because survivng the desert was more important than catching a spy.

because it contained the secret radio that proved that he was really a german spy; amazingly, he maintained the south african accent right up to the moment his head went under but he couldn't remember the afrikaans for "quicksand" (wilsand).
