Adults and experts are not the only people concerned with the future of forests in our society. Through a series of interviews with teenage girls, this documentary shows that trees are more than just leaves and bark. Directed by Amanda Hayes.
**Films for the Forest is an international film challenge presented by Rainforest Partnership, giving filmmakers one week to write, produce, and direct a short film with the theme, "The Tree and I." The winning films for the 2010 challenge were screened on May 13 at Hot Mama's. Judges included: Richard Linklater (Filmmaker); Michael Scott (Filmmaker); Lisa McWilliams (Mobile Film School); and Evan Smith (Texas Tribune).
