@ano0bish because he wants to give people a reason to hate him, to understand why he lives the life he does, because they'd never understand that he wants to live like that.
It's in chapter 19, right after Scout takes Dill outside from the trail if that helps. :)

@ladietay1 please don't think we're all like that, me and my friends are definitely not, in fact most of them (including me) really despise racism. it's just stupid. i don't see why the tone of your skin makes you any different than anyone else, and especially Christians like us have no business thinking that one race is better than the next. Anyone who claims to follow God but is racist isn't a real Christian.
