@suzzex Nonsense! I have not visited in your mainland... But here at home there is no deterioration in the quality and the elevators are very reliable! ;)

AHHHH SHIIIIT!!!!!! THAT ELEVATA COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN MADE GLASS!!!

I agree with the KONE thing, just look at Whitney Field. The only thing that held up was the cab, minus the ceiling.
I guess I can't even say that.
I do have to say, as junky as they might appear, the HT fixtures can survive just about anything.

@Skyscraper446 330A Chewbaca? What planet are you on right now! Chewbacca's dry-powered, not subermsible.

These chimes still make the dover buzz sound down right atractive. They're still ugly.

Give it a few years. The way it sounds, this will be a piece of Schindler like most of them.

@georgef551 Schindler still builds a great elevator. Schindler is the Westinghouse of today, where their hydraulic elevators are generally "budget" elevators and their traction elevators surpass high-quality. Schindler hydraulics are pretty reliable, but like Westys they are notoriously junky. KONE has a great design team and loads of potential, but the have near-zero reliability and deteriote much faster than any other elevator.

Schindler really needs to come up with a new fixture line.

@airplanegod I personally do not HT, but I do agree Schindler needs a new line. I have a feeling they might pull a KONE and start relying on EPCO.

It's good now, but I wonder if it will retain its performance in a few years.

@NewEnglandElevators 330As are pretty reliable, but the do require maintenence to keep them running well. I just rode brand-new KONE EcoDiscs at SFO, and they feel very solid, so as long as they are kept up they should be fine. 330As are notorious for getting louder and worn with time, but their reliability is usually consistant.
