  • Thanks for posting this, I haven't heard it in years. It's probably my favourite songs from the Groundhogs and I think I might cover it if I can work out the chords.

I saw Tony McPhee play live at the Whitchurch prog rock fest in about 2000 I think. Just seeing him right now on BBC4 too as part of the Blues Britannia documentary.

  • Let me take you

    on the sad-go-round

    In the twilight zone

    You hear the mournful sound....

  • amazing - Tony rawks !!!!

  • @MrMetalman44444 - I was at that Standard gig also - it would have been late 1984 - great gig.

  • groundhogs broke up soon after this album due to bad comments from "MELODY MAKER".tony mcphee wrote a letter to MELODY MAKER stating that there commentsmade him give up.as a fan of tony mcphee i was hurt that some asshole who cant hold a torch to tony could destroy a great talent.i saw there reunion in the 1980's and had one of my best nights for a long time.this was at the "royal standard "in walthamstow london.

  • fucking powerful and awesome song!

  • Damn good. It isn't just elderly people that listen to this either.

  • My favourite Groundhogs song of all time and a great single to play on old juke boxes to the unsuspecting kiddywinkys into rap!

  • Brilliant album , Tony was using a hifly effects unit that looked like a small table ! The good news is he is back playing , saw him in Glasgow last month and he was playing really well . As Tony cannot speak , Jo, his wife did all the vocals very well indeed . Hogwash is still one of my favourites . Its back out again in CD

  • @svecter Egg are my favourite band -

    I saw the Groundhogs/Egg tour at Newcastle - December 1st 1971 - magic.
